Good idea, if you would like to turn up to the Parish Council next time we'd be happy to support a willing local resident to help if they want it to be official. But you can always set one up yourself, happy with that too.

I dont see why Natalie you think this will annoy the Council? (Please try to remember that those on the Parish Council give up their free time to support the local community). You could always take an active part and come along.

Hope to see you all at the meeting at the Great Danes on the 2nd Nov 7pm with KCC (and we hope MP's) re Relief Road.

Missing for a week, 'Poppy', from Lower Street. She is quite small, mostly black with white underneath and on her chin, paws and back legs. She loves to wander over the fields behind us (she's an amazing mouse catcher) but has never been missing this long. Please can you check sheds, garages and out buildings. She doesn't wear a collar, but is chipped. Thank you.

Just read the Church and Village News for Oct 17 page 16. Looking forward to the LibDems persuading all car and lorry drivers driving through Leeds they should be walking, cycling or using public transport. Welcome to LaLa land!

This is a good idea, it would also put pressure/annoy on the council if they were tagged in each post.

A Facebook page would be a really good way of everyone in the village keeping in touch with what's going on, and to report the oversized vehicles easily. Don't know if this would need to be 'official' or if you could just start one up, I for one think it's a great idea

If a facebook page could be set up for Leeds Village it would make it so much easier to upload photos of oversized vehicles. I take photos when I am out on my phone but can't upload them because it needs Adobe. Can this be set up asap. I am willing to do it and be admin and monitor input if this is okay with everyone.

As much as I would like to attend meetings and become more involved it is very difficult with a young family and demanding job hence why I attempted to contact the local parish council via email along with using the facility of this forum. It would be most appreciated if matters regarding topics such as Ledian Farm was communicated via the website

The Leeds Parish Council initiative and working with other communities eg Willington St, Residents of LANGLEY & Leeds etc raised over 1,600 signatures to support a "relief road" for the Leeds-Langley by pass and passed them to the KCC.

We suspect that it is a lorry with recycled newspapers being carried and the driver doesnt put a net over the top of the lorry to stop them blowing out as they drive along.

Hi, rather than moaning about the Parish council, if you only bothered to turn up to a meeting, you might find out more. This month (May) the Parish Council saw the draft plans for Lediam Farm and shared with those that turned up too. I suggest you might go to the next meeting and ask there for an update. If you have a question that involves the Parish Council my suggestion is you turn up to a meeting once in a while.

They have started work to knock down and demolish the industry buildings behind Ledian Farm and as for ending soon I very much doubt it .

Recently, there has been a huge noise going on every morning, from about eight, near Forge Lane. I thought nothing of it, but, it has been going on for days now and it''s making me stressed out. God knows what's going on, but it sounds as if they are driving a world war one tank over a load of metal trays! The clanking and banging, plus the occasional hammering, is all underscored by an engine drone and it's horrible.

This is meant to be, and always has been, a quiet, residential village, now it sounds as if we live next to a car crushing site.

Does anyone know what's going on, what it is and if it's going to end soon?

I'm afraid not. My best guess is that a free newspaper is given away at the service station and some people think it's funny, to throw it out the car window. There's been an increase in broken bottles in the village too.

I really do think that contacting LPC is a waste of time, they mean well but are basically hopeless.

I did email one of the local councillors 2weeks ago for any clarification, but as of yet I have not heard back.

I wonder if anyone on the Leeds Parish Council have any idea of the plans for Ledian Farm? I doubt it but its worth asking them.
Wakey Wakey LPC.

That's crazy, poor Leeds village - it could be such a lovely place but sadly it's just going to go to ruin :(

Without doubt there's a total lack of the necessary infrastructure to support any more housing in the area. Insufficient roads, schools, health services etc., yes without doubt it will go ahead, it's just the type of project our local councils would support.
